We are so excited to welcome Victoria-based artist Michelle Barkway to Effusion on Saturday June 6th from 2-4! She will be painting live on-site and we will be featuring her stunning collection of original acrylic landscape paintings June 6-12.

 

 

Michelle is an established self-taught artist and former biologist who uses hard-edged lines too simplify intensely complex landscapes into their larger component parts. She works from photos and memories collected while exploring the beaches, forests, and trails of Western Canada. Her compositions and color palettes invite the viewer to take a deep breath and soak in some Canadian calm and wonder.
