Eleanor Lowden

Meet Eleanor Lowden, a seasoned artist of over 30 years, who draws inspiration from patterns found in everyday life—whether it’s umbrellas, flowers, candy, or the landscapes she encounters on her travels.

Her work seamlessly blends illustration with impressionism, while her artistic process involves layering acrylic glazes to create luminous colors that invite viewers to delve deeper into the story behind each painting.

Eleanor embarked on her artistic journey by studying fine arts at the University of Western Ontario, followed by further studies at the Ontario College of Art and the Alberta College of Art. Her commitment to growth is evident in her participation in various workshops and artist retreats throughout the years.

Her artwork graces private and corporate collections across Canada, reflecting the widespread appreciation for her talent and vision. She can also be reached via social media, where she shares insights into her creative process and latest works. Proudly a member of the Ontario Society of Artists, Eleanor calls midtown Toronto home, where she lives and works alongside her loyal companion, Rigby.
