Biography

Stéphanie Rivet

Meet Stéphanie Rivet, whose passion for both art and science has shaped her unique journey. From a young age, she found herself drawn to painting, alongside her fascination with the wonders of science and mathematics. Despite her diverse interests, her love for artistic expression remained unwavering.

Stéphanie’s artistic vision is deeply rooted in nature, reflected in her predominantly abstract works. With a palette knife in hand, she applies paint to canvas, often spontaneously blending colours directly on the surface, allowing her intuition to guide the evolution of each piece.

After delving into the world of mathematics at university, Stéphanie followed her heart and earned a Fine Arts degree from the Université du Québec à Montréal. Even though she had already showcased her work in numerous galleries since 1998, the urge to pursue art full-time hit her like a sudden burst of inspiration in 2008, when she abandoned her career in mathematics to commit herself wholeheartedly to her artistic expression.

Stéphanie’s passion for painting continues to inspire and captivate audiences wherever her work is displayed, be it galleries across Canada, the United States, and Europe, or finding homes in private and corporate collections worldwide.
