Daniel St-Amant is a Toronto-based contemporary painter and visual effects (VFX) artist with a Bachelor in Fine Arts from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, as well as a Graduate Degree in Visual Effects for Film and Television.
Through his unique process of using actual tire track markings from climate affecting vehicles as the backdrop for his animal portraits, he tries to exemplify our ever encroaching global footprint.
St-Amant enjoys participating in various workshops, live painting events and residencies, including, most recently, one in Algonquin State Park. His paintings have been featured in various cultural, art and news publications while his visual effects work has garnered him credits on major Hollywood feature films – including 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron.
His work can be found in collections across Canada and internationally.
